1. When I have a problem.
1.
“When I have a problem, the onus is on me to find a solution or forfeit the right to complain about it.” My quote, my quest.
An attempt: To find a better way of living for everyone.
Due to Eric Weets’ (my late, artist partner of 20 years) chronic disease of 10 years, I found myself in a situation where I did not want to see the pain and suffering anymore but I could not escape it either. It was a matter of acceptance of whatever life brings to you, Nietzsche’s Amor Fati, I guess.
To deal with the helplessness, mind finds a way. For me, it was to consciously think and look at the hopeful side, the bright side of living, while being totally aware of the day-today ‘painful reality’ around me. And so began the limitless, unconditional, unrestricted, free-fall thinking process - migration into the depths of my mind and coming up with:
Utopian musings of my mind: Experimental art project.
Imagining the possibilities: Yearning to be human.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Albert Einstein
*
Mind
Sometimes I think
I should keep my mind on tight leash.
But then, my mind asks
who are you to curb my birth right?
And then
I just have to let it be
Cos I know, there, it scores a point,
right?

Our conversation: Where are we going wrong?
Following is a conversation on a social media group amongst friends.
filominapawar: So where are we going wrong? Why haven't we achieved the harmony yet? What haven't we looked at yet? The quest is for 'the formula'.
R: There is nothing like right or wrong. All are just events. We cannot institutionalize anything. We can just give an attempt.
filominapawar: So many people suffering, for things beyond their control, is wrong I think....I don't believe in institutionalized anything....it has brought us 'herd mentality'.....just making an attempt to come up with an idea for better living (for everyone*).....need more efforts on my part to articulate my thinking.
filominapawar: Thanks D. I am upset and happy (upset because of the unhappiness I see around and happy cause there's a purpose to my life) Trying to focus on to see - if there's any possibility of change in our thinking... everyone deserves to be happy.
filominapawar: Immediate question popped up...really? serial killers* (refer note) and those kinds even?
*Note (and something to think about) - I wonder, how many of these *“misfits” (for want of better word) are created by us/society and how many could possibly be due to misfortunate genetic mutations or is it one and the same, as a vicious cycle?

"Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, it’s unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so. If you assume that there’s no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope. If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom, there are opportunities to change things, there’s a chance you may contribute to making a better world. The choice is yours." ~ Noam Chomsky.
