Expanding on "We have to find and pursue those things which makes us feel alive. I believe that each person is born with something unique to their personality. We are still unable to figure out that uniqueness and nurture it in each of us. When/if we achieve that, each person will be able to experience the satisfaction of being and as a result - they will be able to lead a happy, fulfilled life (along with the other natural struggles of living.)"
For most people, because their innate quality gets lost/stays hidden, bringing them unhappiness of unfulfilled life, they start looking outside for their happiness and stay unhappy life long or till they find some purpose to their lives. It's only when people have nothing of themselves, they try and show off with 'things' they possess and get entangled in vicious circle of unpleasant jobs, status and all the rest.
When one looks at the manifested, innate uniqueness of a person's life in our world, we can see their quality of living. So very intensly they persue and engage in honing their skill (I also believe that they have no choice in the matter) that they get all consumed by it. There's no room/time/thought of jealousy, envy, greed, pettiness and such emotions. The pursuit brings them such satisfaction that they are least bothered by the outside, material, temporary-store-bought-happiness. When a person is genuinely happy doing what he does, he carries that natural, wholesomeness with him, that people around him get absorbed in its aura. Consequently, the person is not only happy himself but spreads it amongst the people around him.
For eg. Look at Nusret Fateh Ali Khan ( giving his example cos I am listening to his quawwalis and gazals at the moment but one can take any other person with any innate ability. I am sure all can name at least one such person) His singing captivates his audience, the atmosphere so engulfing. To see the struggle, of getting his voice and the sargam out, the way it has to come out and the joy/satisfaction it gives to himself (when he nails it) and to his enthralled audience, regardless of their cast, creed, religion, language, genders, across borders, is so very uplifting. There's an element of other-worldliness, sort of transcending human limits, just the essence of his being.
That's what I meant by trying to figure out the uniqueness and nurturing it in each of us so that everyone can be happy. Just imagine.
